Success.
I downloaded a new 64bit iso-image from Ubuntu Daily.
Again I used usb-create-gtk (on Ubuntu 16.04) to transfer it to a USB-pen.

Now the installation completed with success and I have a fresh Ubuntu 16.10 on my laptop.
Gonna verify audio-recorder for Yakkety Yak (https://launchpad.net/~audio-recorder).

Thanx.
