Using Beryl or compiz, i loose the window borders, "where the maximize, minimize and close buttons are"

When i activate desktop effects at Ubuntu 7.10, i loose the window borders, and only can close the windows using "File -> Close".

You need to add the following to the Screen section of your xorg.conf file:
