lubuntu installer crashes when installing on macbook air

consistently crashes when partitioning

first, ubi-partman crashes w/ exit code 141
if I click try again, ubi-partman crashes w/ exit code 10
All subsequent attempts result in the same exit code 10

You seem to be trying to upgrade an existing installation that is in an ext2 partition ( which you shouldn't be using ) and it is corrupt. You should either fsck this partition to repair it before attempting to reinstall, or better yet, have the installer format it using ext4 instead of the deprecated ext2 filesystem.
