Xorg freeze

There seem to be quite a few instances of this bug occurring with other users but no real solution appears to have been found. This occurs most commonly when doing processing on the GPU with CUDA applications such as TensorFlow and MATLAB. Killing lightdm over SSH usually fails and a hard reboot is required, initiating reboot command over SSH results in an unresponsive machine.

I've also had it occur while logging into VNC over SSH in which case the machine becomes completely unresponsive and no logs are written to indicate what has occurred.
