Bug Description
All Xmir apps I tried sometimes looses keyboard events, but mouse events keep working. It happens randomly and suddenly but I found one way to reproduce this:
1) Open any Xapp
2) When the app is loaded, foreground and focused, change tty
3) Come back to tty8
Result:
The foreground Xapp looses completely keyboard events, but mouse events still works. When this happens, you can recover keyboard events by pressing Ctrl and then Alt (Or first press Alt and then Ctrl) if the app is foreground and focused.

Oh, I see. This is an old bug and it's very annoying -- some of us are used to working around it by tapping Ctrl and Alt.
It's just a bug in that Mir doesn't know the modifier state after VT-switching. So regular key presses don't work till you tap those modifiers again. Duplicate of bug 1536279
