Bug Description

Binary package hint: initramfs-tools

I'm using linux-image-2.6.22-14-generic with custom DSDT.aml added to Initramfs.

When booting without options "quiet splash" it drops me to (initramfs) promp, before it writes " Waiting for root filesystem" and complains about checking bootargs .

Without DSDT.aml or with option acpi=off (instead of acpi=force) it boots normally.

I need to use DSDT.aml because without it i won't get my soundcard to work properly.

I use Ubuntu on Compaq Armada 1750 laptop.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?
