reminders no longer accompanied by sound

The reminders for an event still work but they are no longer accompanied by sound on my BQ E4.5.

Toggling the switch for the app in System Settings - Notifications doesn't make any difference.

This was already the case in OTA-11 and the previous version of the calendar app and hasn't changed after the update to OTA-12 and updating the app to version 0.5.858.

If I remember correctly, the problem started when notification bubbles became available for all the apps.

I noticed on https://uappexplorer.com/app/com.ubuntu.calendar that in the user reviews "d" writes about the same problem but on the BQ E5: "it no longer makes notification sound after last update".
