Hi,

- Do you have unity-settings-daemon running?
- What is the value of "gsettings get org.gnome.gnome-flashback input sources"?

Changed in ubuntu-gnome-flashback:
status: New → Incomplete

Just extra reason why I don't like that we use GNOME-Flashback:Unity. We get different bugs that might be Ubuntu only. So if user has not modified GNOME Flashback session than most likely answers are - yes and false.

P.S. It is `input-sources` not `input sources`:
gsettings get org.gnome.gnome-flashback input-sources

yes, it's running.

Then it is a known bug in unity-settings-daemon. As a workaround, try to run this command and log out / log in:

$ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings switch-input-source "['Caps_Lock']"

(You will need to revert this change when we switch back to gnome-settings-daemon, most probably in 17.04.)

Dmitry, no luck, unfortunately. CapsLock now is shown as a button for keyboard layout switching, but the layout is not changing when I press it.

after some more testing and installed updates I confirm that suggested workaround works, thank you.
