On compiz upgrade plugins settings get changed

Everytime I do a compiz update from update-manager, my window decorations go away, the windows dont move, cant resize. The first time it happened, I had no idea what was going on, compiz irc channel helped me out, since then, I have had to re-enable Window Decoration, Move Window, Resize window whenever i update. I do not know what log file to attach, if you direct me, I can definitely post it. The updates I installed must have been release over the weekend. I didnt see any on friday. FYI, (dont know if its helpful as it might be related), emerald theme manager does not have any themes listed, even though they used to show up before the upgrade to gutsy, but the theme in use now is an emerald theme.

Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description
didn't include enough information.

At a minimum, we need:
1. your ~/.xsession-errors file, /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of lspci -vvnn as separate attachments to this bug report
2. are you using gtk-window-decorator or emerald? (you can check this via ps -ef | grep emerald while running desktop effects. Post the output here please!)
