Bug Description
Symptom sounds similar to that described in Bug 1166206 https:/
When email sender display name contains a comma, it appears as if it were sent from two senders.
Example:
Message source: From: Something, Something Darkside <email address hidden>
Thunderbird: From Something <>, Something Darkside <email address hidden>
I had 38.8.0 from trusty-updates installed when I noticed this problem and added the thunderbird-next PPA to see if it had been fixed. The symptom still persists.

Further testing fixed this symptom by quoting the name field containing the commas on the sending side. This does not appear to be an MUA error and should probably be closed.
