Bug Description
I have an Abit NF7-S Motherboard with a nForce2 AC97 Audio Controler integrated sound card (that uses the snd_intel8x0 driver) and 5.1 speakers. In Feisty, the sound was fine, but after upgrading to Gutsy, when I play a file on Totem or on Rhythmbox, I get an ugly and annoying sound with repeating delays and cuts in the music.
I have a .asoundrc file in my home with this content:
pcm.!default {
type plug
slave.pcm "surround51"
slave.channels 6
route_policy duplicate
}
If I remove the .asoundrc file from my home, Rythmbox and Totem can play the sound files the right way. Another thing is that when I play the same files using other players like mpg123 or xine, everything is OK. And if I change totem-gstreamer to totem-xine, totem plays the files the right way also.
So, I think is something related to gstreamer. I tested MP3, WAV and OGG files.
