Bug Description

The original author intentionally abandoned the project, another one picked it up and forwarded it to now version 3.1.1. Original author was notified and had no objections with the "takeover".

The new code repository is on Github:

https://github.com/Traumflug/Visolate

Likely not debian-ish in all details, but kind of a version history exists in the README. Dependencies also remain the same. Some more instructions are in the RepRap repository:

These JAR packages work with OpenJDK 8, but not (yet) with OpenJDK 9 (SIGSEGV somewhere in libjava).

Solving this bug would also solve bug #1597782.

I found a corresponding bug report in Debian, so I have attached a bug watch. Looks like there's been some talk about packaging visolate 3.
