Bug Description

Hi,

there is this old document:

  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Rootless

that states the goal of the running the X server without root privileges.

With kernel DRM this goal is now attainable. gdm already implements this and it works on Ubuntu. Here is what I have on another Ubuntu system where I use gdm:

root 2588 0.0 0.0 285652 5256 ? Ssl Jun25 0:00 /usr/sbin/gdm3
root 2593 0.0 0.0 267344 6448 ? Sl Jun25 0:00 gdm-session-worker
bonnaudl 2609 0.0 0.0 62320 4464 tty7 Ssl+ Jun25 0:00 /usr/lib/gdm3/gdm-x-session
bonnaudl 2611 0.7 1.0 459736 165292 tty7 Sl+ Jun25 43:40 /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg vt7 -displayfd 3

So would it be possible to implement a similar thing in lightdm ?
