Bug Description

Are we supposed to use different grid managers for different openstack instances unless the Openstack instances do not use over lapping networks and ip addresses and can share the same configuations?

If we are supposed to use different grid managers, can we add grid managers easily?

Because a part of the IOA configuration is defined on a Grid Manager member in infoblox, sharing that member for difference Openstack instances seems to mix those Openstack instances together on Infoblox.

Thanks Peng, this is a real issue. We are looking into changing the mechanism for capturing the configuration so that it can be more flexible and work in an environment as you describe, likely for a 2.1 release.

One option we are looking at is simply capturing the configuration in a file and providing a configuration option in neutron.conf with a URL to that file. This way, it could be hosted locally on the controller, or on any external server (for example, using the file distribution function of the Infoblox appliance (or it could be stored locally on the controller nodes). This would enable different OpenStack installations to have different configurations that use the same grid.
