Bug Description

Loki Beta 1
Pantheon-Mail 0.10.0

When I open mail immediately after booting the laptop (Dell Latitude e4300), mail comes up quickly but no messages display for at least 10 seconds.

If I close mail and re-open it, it doesn't take so long the second time.

Mail can be very busy, e.g. after creating a new account and opening the inbox it reads all the emails that are listed in the conversation view on the left.

You can see what Mail is doing when you start the app from the commandline with the "-d" parameter added. Mail then prints out what it is doing.

So, when it takes some time until any messages are displayed, Mail should be busy doing something else then.

Could you please verify this?

I believe the issue is that there no feedback presented to the user that the application might be busy loading data from the server.
