Bug Description

I use wicd to connect using wifi, but I have the same problem with knetworkmanager.

Once connected, all is ok. But after a couple of minute of inactivity (i.e. absolutely NO packets sent or received), the connection is lost.
For example, if I ping my gateway about 10 minutes after the last activity:

$ ping 192.168.0.127
PING 192.168.0.127 (192.168.0.127) 56(84) bytes of data.

After several ping attempts, it answers, but if I wait 1 hour before doing this ping, I have to reboot the computer, else it won't work. This is not a problem from my gateway, I tried exactly the same thing (no packets during 10 minutes) under vista, and there isn't this problem.

I can totaly avoid the problem (avoid the disconnection, keep the connection alive) if I launch :
ping -i 60 192.168.0.127
(ping every minute)

My wifi card is (lspci) :
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection (rev 61)

I will attach the "wireshark file" I saved when I ping after 10 minutes...

It's better to open the previous file with wireshark, but I post the pdf exported file too...

(sorry for my English) :)

If I ping every 4 minutes, the connection stay alive, if I ping every 5 minutes, the connection is lost...

Maybe a link with this result :
rom@rom-laptop:~$ ps -ef | grep iwl
root 4138 2 0 12:47 ? 00:00:00 [iwl4965/0]
root 4139 2 0 12:47 ? 00:00:00 [iwl4965/1]
root 4212 2 0 12:47 ? 00:00:00 [iwl4965]
rom 9698 8888 0 13:06 pts/2 00:00:00 grep iwl
Is it normal that there are 3 process concerning iwl4965?
