Bug Description

If I am trying to access files in SMB Server with user and password, the login is refused and the login screen grayed out (see attached picture) while I can access server from windows machine without any problems. I can access SMB server if I change configuration to allow access without user/password.

I can reproduce this problem in 2 different machines.

elementary OS 0.3.2 Freya (64-bit)
Files 0.2.4

In your image you have the "anonymous" option ticked. If you wish to log in with a username or password you must tick the "Registered User" option. Please confirm whether you still have the issue using the "Registered User" option and the appropriate Username, Domain and Password boxes filled in.

A number of improvements have been made to networking in Loki which have not been backported to Freya.

While trying to login Registered User and Remember Password Permanently (sorry, I am translating that) is ticked, but login is refused immediately and the new window with all option grayed out is displayed. It is not allowed to change back to Registered User or anything else.

Loki is still in Beta stage. It might take a while before me or anyone else would upgrade to it.
