"g-io-error-quark: Unknown reason" during backup

Bug Description

I ran my backup for the first time, after some time, I got the following error message:

"Backup Failed

Giving up after 5 attempts. Error: g-io-error-quark: Unknown reason (0)"

I think this is a bug, because the error message doesn't tell me what happened and how that can be fixed.

Had the same issue, reason for it was full target file system (in my case accessed via ssh using key authentication). After freeing space there, backup finished normally, but yes error description is more than confusing.

I believe the problem was due to the drive being full. Deja-Dup (Backups) writes 2 copies, the older one being a safety copy. I have changed the size of the external backup drive to a larger drive. I believe this is/was the problem.

Can someone with this bug provide the output of "DEJA_DUP_DEBUG=1 deja-dup --backup | tail -n 1000 > /tmp/deja-dup.log" please?

I switched the session to FTP and this bug was not apparent and didn't appear again.

Remote EXT4 drive on 16.04.4 LTS was full in my case, too.

I should add to my comment(#8), above, that the _sending_ machine is running 18.04 LTS desktop, the _receiving_ machine is running 16.04.4 LTS server and deja-dup is backing-up over an ssh connection.
