This site is a curated collection of official, peer-reviewed documentation for users.

Is there such documentation for Ubuntu on phones/tablets? If so, a link would be helpful for us to begin evaluating it for inclusion.

Subscribed the ~ubuntu-phone team in the hope that someone is able to provide input on the topic.

There is a lot of material for developers, but little documentation targeted at end-users that I know of.

That guide might be an acceptable entry point: https://developer.ubuntu.com/en/phone/devices/installing-ubuntu-for-devices/.

I find that rather odd.. Cannonical has been proselytizing touch, and dockable portables, for over half a decade.. I have paid over £700 of real money to buy Ubuntu branded hardware, the phone and tablet,, and not only is it half finished but no-one bothered to write any user documentation at all?. This is a product with an unusual UI and no external subculture, and nowt was done to write user documentation?. I think that is rather contemptuous of the people handing over the money.

I think this bug needs to be escalated to Cannonical's commercial people. This is not an engineering failure.. Why should I ever buy one again, or buy one for my Grandchildren?

The topic has been loosely talked about, for instance at this docs team meeting:

IMNSHO the documentation team currently lacks the manpower needed to create some kind of end user documentation for phone/touch/unity8. An initiative from developers and/or other Canonical staff involved in unity8 is necessary.

@Oliver: The page you linked to is good, but I'm not sure that docs at that level is suitable to put up at help.ubuntu.com. In any case it's not the kind of docs which a user who just bought a phone or tablet is looking for.

Agreed, there is a real need for end-user documentation. The PDF guides published by BQ may be useful, but being device-specific I’m not sure they are suitable for help.ubuntu.com.

Ok, got my Ipad back.
Going to pack the M10 away.. It's been interesting, but not much fun.. Like the phone it is just not finished, and not reliable enough to use0
