Running burg-emu gives errors

Bug Description
When installing and running burg-emu, I get the following errors in the terminal:
error: can't open `/boot/
error: unknown command `vmenu'.
Also, when trying to change the theme via burg-emu (and f2), the burg-emu crashes. Not sure if this is related to the thing above. EDIT using burg-emu as root solves the problem of crashing. Above issue still persists.
