Bug Description

ISSUE:

Recently used "KDE4" applications do not appear in the Recently Used section of the Unity Dash.

Security & Privacy settings are as follows:
Record file and application usage (ON)
Include: Chat logs (checked); Documents (checked); Music (checked); Pictures (checked); Presentations (checked); Spreadsheets (checked); Videos (checked)

Applications that are impacted include: KolourPaint, KRename, KGoldRunner, Kolf, KSquares, KSudoko, Kalzium, K3b, KDevelop 4, etc.

This issue appears to occur for any application whose *.desktop file is located in:

    /usr/share/applications/kde4

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

Recently used KDE4 applications SHOULD appear in the Recently Used section of the Unity Dash.

This is normal behavior for other applications:
- "Regular" (non-KDE4) applications appear in the Recently Used section of the Unity Dash.
- Gnome applications applications appear in the Recently Used section of the Unity Dash.

TEST/RECREATE ISSUE:

1. Install KolourPaint

   $ sudo apt-get install kolourpaint4

2. Install KWordQuiz

   $ sudo apt-get install kwordquiz

3. Log out, and log back in (so newly installed applications appear in Dash)

4. Confirm that Gnome applications appear in the Recently Used section of Dash
   (Normal Behavior)

4a. Click the Ubuntu (bfb) button in the Launcher
4b. Click on the Applications Lens, and expand the installed section
4c. Scroll down and select a Gnome application, such as Archive Manager
4d. Click on Archive Manager to launch it
   4e. Close Archive Manager
4f. Click the Ubuntu (bfb) button in the Launcher
4g. On the Home Lens, note that Archive Manager is listed in the Applications section
4h. Click on the Applications Lens
4i. On the Applications Lens, note that Archive Manager is listed in the Recently Used section

5. Confirm that "regular" KDE applications appear in the Recently Used section of Dash
   (Normal Behavior)

5a. Click the Ubuntu (bfb) button in the Launcher
5b. Click on the Applications Lens, and expand the installed section
5c. Scroll down and select a KDE application, such as KWordQuiz
5d. Click on KWordQuiz to launch it
   5e. Close KWordQuiz
5f. Click the Ubuntu (bfb) button in the Launcher
5g. On the Home Lens, note that KWordQuiz is listed in the Applications section
5h. Click on the Applications Lens
5i. On the Applications Lens, note that KWordQuiz is listed in the Recently Used section

6. Demonstrate that KDE*4* applications DO NOT appear in the Recently Used section of Dash
   (Error Behavior)

6a. Click the Ubuntu (bfb) button in the Launcher
6b. Click on the Applications Lens, and expand the installed section
6c. Scroll down and select a KDE4 application, such as KolourPaint
6d. Click on KolourPaint to launch it
   6e. Close KolourPaint
6f. Click the Ubuntu (bfb) button in the Launcher
6g. On the Home Lens, note that KolourPaint is NOT listed in the Applications section
6h. Click on the Applications Lens
6i. On the Applications Lens, note that KolourPaint is NOT listed in the Recently Used section
