Bug Description

I seen after I formatted an USB key with "Disks", USB ports doesnt detect me anymore USB Device (phone). I can add that even USB Storage didnt work, I mean, it didnt appear the Icon of USB Key in the Bar, but it was seen from application "Disks", so I clicked some button (I dont know which one) and started working, but unluckyly still when I link the phone from USB port is not seen (Icon of external device didnt appear from the bar) and even from "Disks" I cant see any external device. Moreover if using "lsusb" from terminal, device is seen from lsusb (it recognize as a phone).
I think its easy issue because as I unblocked USB Storage, not recognized, just clicking from "Disks". I think I just need a command that refresh all USB ports with terminal, and it will work.
PS. At the end, I think I just need to know a command that refresh all USB ports and everything will work.
thank
l.p.

Ok, I should apologize because im really new to Ubuntu and moreover I understand not much about computer, anyway bug is retired, now works perfectly, my USB port show my phone and usb keys as well. Anyway I can report I was stuck once, my Ubuntu 16.04 didnt reveal usb key, but I opened GP partition (im not sure about name of application and I clicked randomly some tab, like a cat on a piano, and after it, it started to work. Now my ubuntu see usb key.
Anyway I have still other problem. Is it possible to use ubuntu in EFI mode? because when I start, Ubuntu asked me from which partition i want boot... EFi or VMlinuz, if I choose to boot from VMlinuz (i forgot exact name of partition) i get error of low graphic details and i cant go forward. my only chance to use ubuntu is to start choising to boot from EFI mode.
Anyway from few days from now, I dont know how, Ubuntu before booting doesnt ask me what partition start booting and it start booting and work perfectly, I dont know now if I am in EFi or in VMlinuz.
