Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

On most (all?) phpBB forums, when I edit a text in a text area, the cursor blinks very fast and cpu usage increases to 100%. It goes down to normal as soon as I put the cursor outside the text area.

I tried the following, without success:
- disabling spell checking
- disabling javascript
- disabling all my extensions
- using another Gecko based browser (Epiphany)

This problem also occurs sporadically on other forums. It started when I upgraded to Ubuntu 7.10, earlier versions of Firefox didn't have this problem.
