Bug Description
1)boot
2)make any change (ie. change DNS servers in NIC to manual, change greeting in log on window, add programs to start up list)
3)make sure changes have taken effect (close window and open it again)
4)reboot, or re-load graphical interface
5)verify changes (DNS back to original ones given by DHCP, greeting window without greeting, programs added to start up list are still on the list but never loaded at start up)
6)all changes lost

I've noticed this behaviour on two different machines now, one running Kubuntu Feisty and one running Ubuntu Gutsy.
Better title would be: "DNS settings lost after reboot"
