Bug Description

I am using ubuntu 14.04 lts 64bit. 4.4.0-22-generic kernel

Had a few massive memory leaks in last few days, today managed I opened htop.
Haguichi.exe virtual memory was 13.3 GB, yes GB.
I think it had something to do with haguici indicator and pressed update clients list 10 mins before.
all software was installed from ppa:webupd8team/haguichi
following the guide http://www.webupd8.org/2010/10/install-hamachi2-and-haguichi-gui-for.html

Hi Nikola,

Since you are using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS the versions you have installed are:
haguichi 1.0.26
haguichi-appindicator 0.1.3

Is this correct?

For how long had Haguichi been running?

Could you provide screenshot of (h)top showing the memory leak? Or a textual copy of at least the lines for the haguichi and/or haguichi-appindicator processes?

Oh, and are there any warnings when you start haguichi from the command line?

And what was the actual resident memory used? Because it seems virtual memory is always quite high and doesn't really say anything [1].

Never started it from command line.

Did not notice resident memory, what i know my 8GB ram was full, 2/3 of swap also 8GB full, PC slowed down to the point of been unable to update the clock. after i killed haguici thing returned to normal immediately

I've set up a virtual machine running Ubuntu 14.04 64bit with kernel 4.4.0-22-generic, but I cannot reproduce any serious memory usage. When I launch it starts around 20-30mb and with each network list update climbs slowly (0.3mb per interval) to 50-60mb range and then the memory is freed up (garbage collected?) and drops back to 20-30mb. Then the story repeats itself.

If you run Haguichi from command line you'll see a multitude of warnings like "GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID XXX was not found when attempting to remove it". This is a known bug in Ubuntu 14.04 [1] and is not present in earlier or later versions (it is beyond my understanding why they don't fix it in 14.04, which is an LTS). Anyway this could be the cause of the memory buildup, but it doesn't see to really get out of hand on a default setup. So unless you have installed any non-default versions of system libraries like GTK, GLib, Mono, etc, then there's not much to go on.
