Bug Description
Using terminator 0.98 from the PPA with Kubuntu 14.04.3 LTS Trusty I see no problems. The keyboard shortcuts works as expected and configured.
But using terminator 0.98 with Siduction (means Debian unstable) with LXQt there are problems.
In the settings the keyboard shortcuts are the same as in the Kubuntu-terminator version.

"go_next" -> SHIFT+STRG+N
"go_next" work well.

If there are only two tabs with only one terminal in each of it (without splitted terminals!) STRG+TAB does nothing. Not reaction.

On the Kubuntu I am using IBus (because of japanese input methodes) but with german keyboard layout.
On Siduction I don't use IBus. I don't know what is running there by default.
