Bug Description
The way you burn the Ubuntu .iso image to a DVD on OS X El Capitan no longer requires Disk Utility.
It's simpler now. It's done with the Finder now -- well, it always could have been done with the Finder.
Click once on the Ubuntu .iso file so that it’s selected.
From Finder File menu, choose BURN DISK IMAGE ubuntu-

To be clear. It actually can't be done with Disk Utility in the way the current Ubuntu instructions describe. So every El Capitan user will be scrabbling around hitting the same problem if the instructions are not updated. I realise you want to keep things simple but .... "If you're using El Capitan" link could save a lot of peoples' time.
All the best!
