Feature Request: having snap package manpages in system MANPATH

Bug Description

if you install a snap program, the man page of that "snap app" isnt available to the user.

reproduce:

1. snap install packagename
2. man packagename

system: ubuntu 16.04 lts

may you please add the snap manpages directory to MANPATH.

on the other hand, one might ask... why are we leaving the linux filesystem hirarchy standards? are they that bad, do we really want to look like osx "under the hood"?

Hi Olivier, thanks for reporting the bug. Yes, we are aware of the problem and we will address it at some point, but I it needs to be more complex than just adding to MANPATH.

As for the FHS hierarchy, there are good reasons snaps work this way, some of the rationale you can find on http://snapcraft.io/ and if you would like to dig more into it, please use snapcraft mailing list.

I think we can surface man pages in the sae way we surface binaries in
/snap/bin/
