Bug Description

Binary package hint: kmail

This bug may look like other reported bugs, but I am pretty sure that it is not.

Kmail fails to retrieve mail from my pop3 account after upgrading to Gutsy.
I get the error "Unable to complete LIST operation".
I have not enabled "Leave fetched messages on the server" which is mentioned as a problem in Bug #135787.
I have package 4:3.5.7enterprise20070926-0ubuntu2 installed so the bugfix from Bug #135394 has not worked for me.

I hope this can be fixed soon as kmail is currently useless for me.

Have you seen http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127696 ? There the cause seems to be a broken message in the POP3 account. Maybe you can access the mailbox with another client/webmail and move any suspicious mails away.

This seems to fix the problem. The message was something like "Checkout my new facebook". I will instead confirm the bug you mention.
