Bug Description

Binary package hint: maxima

Issue:
After an upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy, Maxima's describe() function is broken:

(%i23) describe(integrate);

Could not find `/usr/share/info/maxima-index.lisp' using paths in
                                                       file_search_lisp,system.
 -- an error. To debug this try debugmode(true);

Uninstalling and reinstalling maxima and the maxima-* packages did not resolve the issue. Under Feisty, describe() worked properly.

Workaround:
sudo ln -s /usr/share/doc/maxima-doc/info/maxima-index.lisp.gz /usr/share/info/maxima-index.lisp.gz
