Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-gtk

The Open office will open up and load a file up to the point where it needs to be displayed. This is where it hangs and stops responding.

All is fine when you run without the openoffice.org-gtk which is a dependency of gnome.

There is no vfs support at this level.

The bug report seems a bit incomplete... opening a file via what program, protocol, etc? Also which version of Ubuntu and OpenOffice were you seeing this problem? Also does this problem happen on many files or certain ones in particular?

Thanks,

Chris Cheney

This has been done on multiple file types from MS power point to odf.
The protocal being used is sshfs. However the bug doesn't only apply to that protocol but all operations on a typical ext3 filesystem.
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon and Open Office 2.3.0
Gnome 2.20.0

This is tested on two systems. The first is an amd64 4000+ the second is an intel centrino 1.86.
Id be glad to provide more information or assist with the solution coding.

Which gtk theme are you using and does switching to Human help resolve the issue?

I was using a custom theme off of black.
Ive changed a few times since i last sent this bug in.
When i switched to human things worked.

The problem seems to be with presentation now and not the rest of office. Ive attached a test example
