evolution calendar will not let me add events

Binary package hint: evolution

although this list of similar bug reports lists this problem and says it was fixed, my calendar is unusable as it refuses to let me enter anything.

Thanks for the response. Sadly, I am not a code geek so I cannot use the
info. I have gotten on answers on the forum though, so I thought I'd try
this way. In case there is a true bug and it's not user error. I have
checked and re-checked preferences and settings and it happened all of a
sudden with no action on my part.

Do you receive any popup messages when you try to add a task?
Maybe this bug is similar to bug #58210 ?

Thank you for your bug report. Do you still have this issue? Did you try on gutsy? Do you use a local calendar or an internet one? Do you get any error when trying to add an event?
