Bug Description
I am not an admin and can't download DMG files, so I am stuck on 0.91 r13725. Mac OS X 10.11.4.
When selecting or using arrow keys through text, ligatures are treated as one character.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Make a text field.
2. Choose a font that has ligatures: DejaVu, Roboto, Fira Sans, Minion Pro, Constantina, PT Sans, to name a few.
3. Type "fix me".
4. Try to highlight just the "f". Place the cursor between the "f" and "i".
What should happen:
Although Inkscape renders the text as a ligature, it is treated as two. Inkscape splits the ligature into how many characters it is joining mathematically.
What happens:
Inkscape treats the ligature as if it is one character. It can not be selected indivindividually as characters.
The only fix is to backspace/delete a trailing character to break the ligature.
Have confirmed this.
