Firestarter GUI crashing repeatedly

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Since the upgrade to Gutsy, I have been experiencing numerous, unpredictable, non-errored, crashes of the Firestarter GUI. Never had this happen under any previous ubuntu version since 6.04.

According to IP tables, the firewall is still running. GUI Alerts now seem to trigger on random events that never triggered alerts before: NTP, google servers remaining connected to port 80 long after the browser has been closed, and DHCP requests from 0.0.0.0.

Never seen stuff like this.

I have the same problem with Firestarter GUI on Xubuntu 7.10 amd64
As long as I don`t touch active connections drop-down list,
firestarter stays.
Also, Active connections list, tends to display already-dead
connections as active, after some time of use..

Seems to me like the same problem with
