Bug Description

I just installed gutsy last week and noticed that kget often uses 99% of the cpu. The only way I've found to stop it is quit and load again. It seems to start after I've run it for a while and gone to offline mode and back again (though I may be mistaken.) I noticed this because I saw my cpu was at 60c. I went to top and it said kget was using around 99% of the cpu. I closed in and my cpu went back down to around 34c. This has happened around 6 times since installing gutsy.

I can confirm this bug for gutsy gibbon with KDE 3.5.8.

It also happens when you stop a running download.

It would be nice to know if this bug exists further in KDE 3.5.9 and/or KDE 4.0.2 and Hardy?

I have tested this on hardy with KDE 4.0.2. I download simultaneously 6 files and have toggled between offline and online more than 30 times. The cpu usage of kget never went higher than 40%.

Intrepid's KGet is the KDE 4 version so this can be closed as fixed.
