Bug Description

I tried testing Ubuntu 16.04 Live using USB and I noticed that the temperature after few minutes of using is around 80 C, which is quite high for laptop and also fans are running at full speed. This bug did not occur on previous LTS release using kernel ver 3.13.x. Also UI is not so responsive after few minutes of using.
I noticed that there several bugs concerning intel-powerclamp and high temperatures and/or problems with fans, but these problems arrised on different kernels and on different occasions so I hope, that I am not filling duplciate bug.

Does the issue go away of you boot back into the 3.13 kernel?

Also, would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.6 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have booted back to 14.04.4 and this issue is gone and also fans are calming down. I shall conduct further tests with mainline kernels in the end of the week.
