remove duplicate hardcoded strings

Bug Description

There are many places where following error message is hardcoded. This needs refactor.
Names must be 1-100 characters long, only contain a-z,0-9,-,_ and start with an alphabet character.

    Deduplicated error messages regarding invalid names

    One error message was not exactly the same, but the code also
    checked for a leading alpha-numeric. So I fixed that message.
