freeze after drag and drop from Archive Manager

Bug Description
I dragged and dropped a PDF from Archive Manager to Mendely (to add it to Mendeley database), and the whole desktop was frozen/glitched.
-It was impossible to use plank
-The mouse still had the image of the dragged file following it
-Alt+Tab could not be controlled properly: I could only switch between the 2 most recent windows.
-Top showed no high CPU usage.
-I solved the issue by closing the the windows until I could select Archive Manager with Alt+Tab. Once Archive Manager got closed, everything went back to normal.
