Bug Description
I have a Problem with the power management after a new installation of Kubuntu 7.10 (gutsy) on my Notebook: acer travelmate 661 (P-M 1.8 GHz). If i put the second battery in the Notebook, the CPU frequency turn to maximum and stay on maximum. And I can hear a buzz. When I remove the battery during Kubuntu 7.10 is running the CPU frequency stay on maximum. First after reboot with only one Battery the power management works normal again.
If I start with two batteries Kubuntu 7.10, I have the same Problem: CPU frequency stay on maximum.
If i switch during Kubuntu 7.10 is running with two batterys in the CPU frequency scaling policy powersave, the frequency is always on the minimum value. And I don’t hear the buzz. When I switch back to the CPU frequency scaling policy dynamic the buzz is there again and the CPU frequency stay on maximum.
With Kubuntu 6.10 and 7.04 I doesn't had have any problem with the two batteries in my Notebook.
In Hardy 8.04 the Bug is fixed now.
