Bug Description

In the past it was possible to show the twitter trends on the today scope. Now it's only possible to view the normal twitter feed. Would it be possible to bring the twitter trends feature back?

Yes, now the Today scope shows your Twitter home timeline.

You can still see the trends in the Twitter scope:
* Open the the Twitter scope. (You can also open it from the Today scope by tapping the "Twitter >" title)
* In Twitter scope, Tap the search icon (the magnifying glass) to display the Departments. Select either "Local Trends" or "Global Trends".

Cheers

Yes so I have to do several clicks just to have a short look at the trends. For me the twitter trends in the today scope were very useful to see, whats going on at the moment, which seems to fit in the usecase of a todayscope.

Hi Jonas,

The design view was that one's own homeline tweets were more likely to be of interest to more people in the today scope than trends.

If you want you can add the Ubuntu UX project (the design project) to this bug.

(You can always favorite the Twitter scope to make it available at all times...)

Cheers,
Kyle

OK thanks for your answer. For the most people the own timeline is more interesting indeed, but as the twitter trends feature was there before I thought It wouldn't be much effort do make it possible to bring it back as an option. The twitter trends could be used without login in the past, so everybody could use it, even when he/she was not using twitter. I will ad the Ubuntu ux to this bug.
