Bug Description

Camera app is getting rotated for a few days.

This is most likely due to the switch from unity8 reading .desktop files on its own to relying on ubuntu-app-launch proxying that information.

Suspicion is a typo in ubuntu-app-launch:

X-Ubuntu-Rotates-Window-Contents
vs.
X-Ubuntu-Rotates-Window-Content

I have updated the camera-app today to 3.0.0.649

I am on:
current build number: 324
device name: krillin
channel: ubuntu-touch/rc-proposed/bq-aquaris.en
last update: 2016-05-04 18:25:13

With todays update I get the following issue (which I believe is also Alfonso's issue). The image of my camera-app in portait is as expected. But in landscape mode the picture is rotated. I have attached two screenshots of pictures I have taken today. One in portait and one in landscape.

The picture itself is correctly oriented.

Sorry, I am just re-reading my comment. Reading this one might get a bit messed up which picture is what ... I'll try it again.

When I open the camera app, I see on my screen what the camera sees + the camera controls.

THIS is all correct in the portrait orientation. You see it on one of the two screenshots attached. The releaser is on the bottom side and also the camera options, etc.

The bug is present in landscape orientation. Here the releaser is on the bottom (expectation: releaser is on the right hand side) and the screen shows a 90° rotated picture (expectation: correct orientation).

If I now press the releaser in landscape orientation, I get a correctly oriented picture as result.

I hope this is more clear. Sorry for the first comment.

Just found out that if I switch off rotation I can take the foto normally, of course this is not a solution because the on screen buttons in camera don't go to their position has they should in landscape mode.

So this will fix the camera not getting rotated on the Nexus 7?
