open-cobol dependency not met upon install

Binary package hint: open-cobol

After installing open-cobol, I was unable to compile any programs using it. I had to issue the:

sudo apt-get install libncurses5-dev

command to be able to use the cobc compiler to compile my programs. Perhaps the libncurses5-dev package needs to be included when open-cobol is installed.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?
