Cannot pick categories in Wordpress blog

Binary package hint: blogtk

BloGTK's "Category" combo box does not allow choosing categories in self-run Wordpress blogs.

Steps to reproduce:

* In Edit / Accounts and Settings, enter http://www.someblogdomain.com/blog/xmlrpc.php as server URL, and MetaWeblog API as "Blogging System"
* Click File / Connect
* "Blog" combo box shows correct name of blog
* "Category" combo box stays empty, and no text can be entered

WordPress uses the Movable Type API - change your API selection and categories will work.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The version of Ubuntu your using is in End of Life status. More information may be found at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases As well, the package your using is updated and issue you reported should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD development release - Maverick Meerkat. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/.
