Bug Description

I recently installed XUbuntu 16.04 on my Latitude E7450 laptop.

The mouse cursor disappears when I lock then unlock the session. The mouse is still functional but the cursor is not displayed.

This bug is similar to #492782 but I do not think it is a duplicate as there no need to suspend to RAM or disk for it to express.
However the symptoms and workarounds are similar : switching to a virtual console then back restores the cursor ; so does running gedit and typing text in it.

Note the the symptoms only start after the session has been unlocked : the mouse cursor is visible on the login screen. It does not seem to be managed by the same process there however (sign of this : I set the cursor to a bigger size in my session but this does not take effect in the login screen).

YS1, bug 492782 is filed against xserver-xorg-video-intel.
Please confirm your graphics, Intel or otherwise as what you are describing
seems to be very similar to the already widely reported bug 1568604.
Thanks.

You are right ; my computer has two graphics card and it may be the case that the Intel card (driver i915) is in use.

Will mark as duplicate of bug 1568604 as problem seems to be related to the widely reported Intel problem.
