There's nothing here to determine why nginx failed to install - it *does* show as running. Nothing in the output suggested by the dpkg error, either, helps to debug this as well.

Best I can suggest is to try and install nginx separately, and then try and install your application. However, your history log shows that nginx *did* get run and tried to install, and nothing in the terminal log provides usable debug information here.

I'm marking this as Incomplete, until more useful debugging information can be made available.

I am curious to know what:

dpkg -l nginx\*

shows. The weird thing here is nginx *is* (or seems to be) running, while dpkg returned an error.

this is interesting. Have you run 'sudo apt-get -f install'? If not, can you please run it and post/attach the output here?

Hi i faced the same problem.
My solution was to stop apache server (which had the port80) and install it again
