Impossible to use the Portuguese external keyboard in ubuntu tablet

It is impossible to use the Portuguese external keyboard in ubuntu tablet. When we connect an external keyboard with Portuguese layout to ubuntu tablet and change the tablet external keyboard settings, nothing changes, the tablet continues to recognize only the English layout.

Which apps are affected? If it's just legacy X apps then this is bug 1566487.

Hi!
When using legacy X apps, the portuguese keyboard isn't recognized at all. When using other kind of apps, the keyboard doesn't allow to use some accents. E.g., as ~ (ã, õ)...

I suspect however the two problems you're having are already logged elsewhere:

Legacy X apps -> bug 1566487 (fix completed and arriving in OTA-11)
Native Unity8 apps not allowing accents -> bug 1565236
