[gutsy] rtl8185L WPA not working but WEP works

Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Problem: when i click on a WPA encrypted network it prompts me to enter a password but only offers WEP and LEAP. I'm using Gutsy 7.10 i386 and a RTL 8185L wireless card.

The same thing happens to me. WEP works fine in gutsy but not WPA. It used to work for me in Feisty. I have an ipw3945 card.

it does work in icedove, ill get to working on it for hardy this coming
week

so does that mean that WAP will work by default with RTL 8185L on hardy?

ok i just tested it on hardy alpha 1 and it behaves with the same problem.

on the new hardy alpha 4 my wireless card is not detected at all and have filed a new bug. bug # 176507

ok on hardy beta using ndiswrapper WPA and WEP work so if someone else can confirm this I think it's fixed.
