Bug Description

When I connect my USB mouse it works for some seconds and then it suddenly stops moving. The same mouse worked on Ubuntu 15.10. For the moment, I use a Bluetooth mouse which works without problems.

When this happens dmesg contains a lot of lines with the following content:
usb 2-1: input irq status -75 received

There seem to be some other people with the same problem, but they did not find a solution yet. See here:

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.6 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. My USB mouse worked fine in ubuntu 14.04, but after upgrading to 16.04 it freezes just after login and dmesg is full of "status -75".
