Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-themes-ubuntu

Firefox's statusbar has a line around it (see screenshot), but some other apps (gedit and rhythmbox for example) don't. I prefer the statusbar without the line, since it looks cleaner and the bar becomes more of an integral part of the user interface. My request is, thus, to get rid of the line around the statusbar.

I can verify that the line is there in Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/0000000000 Firefox/2.0.0.4 (Ubuntu-edgy). This sounds like it should be an RFE, though.

Oops, that wasn't with the official branch build. The line is there in the official branch, too, though, so it still sounds like an RFE.

Confirming as a valid RFE, though, I bet this is a quick WONTFIX. The line is there to distinguish better.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?

Unfortunately I have decided to stup using Ubuntu, so I can't test this anymore myself. However, a friend of mine could look it up and according to him the problem is gone in the dark version of the Intrepid theme. So I think it's safe to say that this bug is fixed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The version of Ubuntu your using is in End of Life status. More information may be found at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases As well, the issue that you reported should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD development release - Maverick Meerkat. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. Please repost a detailed error report and update the bug status. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
