Bug Description

go to igoogle and add the google talk gadget when flash not installed.
the gadget simply says:

"Oops!

The Google Talk Gadget requires Adobe Flash Player version 9 or higher.
You can install the player here. http://www.google.com/url?sa=D&q=http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer

To complete the installation, quit all running instances of your browser."

firefox should recognise flash is trying to be used. but assuming this is difficult, why not make firefox offer to install the flash plugin whenever (or the first few times) you go to macromedia flash site, as this is almost certainly what you are trying to do
going to http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer or similar sites should trigger the install

This is a website issue. The website should just use flash and not try to reinvent the wheel and detect whether flash is installed on their own. Firefox cannot do anything about this.
